Want to learn how to develop your own Conlang? Join us for a full-day workshop on developing your own language. You will get examples from existing conlangs like Klingon and Dothraki, as well as some of the speaker’s own conlangs, ljani k’ithzeri and qi͓t͓qsu’iqsik ‘a͓s͓i͓qs that were invented for enhancing Dungeons and Dragons games. The cost for this workshop is $25 and you will receive a digital copy of the speaker’s language creation template walking you through the steps of developing a phonology, morphology, syntax, and how to avoid some common pitfalls that conlangers may fall into. By the end of the workshop, you will have the beginnings of a working grammar for your own conlang, and the ability to fully develop it. So bring your laptop, coffee, and an idea of who will be speaking your conlang, and by the end of the day you’ll be speaking it too. If you have any questions, or would like to RSVP for the workshop, please visit the Facebook event page HERE or the Conlangers of Western Canada group page.
