This Friday join your campus in celebrating National Sweater Day which is an annual initiative started by the World Wildlife Fund Canada to educate Canadians about turning down the heat to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Take part by turning down the heat in your home by a few degrees and donning a sweater. Watch for the following as well: · Temperature change: MacEwan Student Centre will be a little cooler Feb. 6 – 7 as the temperature gets turned down by 5 degrees · Sweater Fashion Show: from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. campus members will strut their stuff on a catwalk in MacEwan Student Centre to showcase Calgary’s latest sweater fashions · Sweater Photo Booth: WWF Calgary and Root and Shoots, will run a free photo booth filled with sweaters and funky accessories so that your participation can be fashionably commemorated For more information on NSD, visit http://www.ucalgary.ca/sustainability/nsd
