Stradivarius Canadian Tour

The Alberta Symphony Orchestra Society is proud to present “A Stradivarius for the People – Canadian Tour”, the first tour ever in Canada featuring the prestigious Antonio Stradivari violin 1715 “ex Bazzini-De Vito”. The program includes a variety of wonderful works for violin and piano by composers such as Rachmaninoff (Hungarian Dance), Faure (Apres une reve), Brahms (Scherzo in C minor), Grieg (Allegretto espressivo alla Romanza from Sonata op.45), Saint-Saens (Danse Macabre), Franck (Allegro from Sonata in A major), Paganini (Cantabile), Bartok (Roumanian Folk Dances). Maestro Matteo Fedeli will lead the evening as well as a speaker with his introduction on the works, on the composers and disclosing the story of the Stradivarius violin built in 1715, “ex Bazzini-De Vito”.
