Opportunity Description:

Are you in interested in simultaneously creating community and community safety? This opportunity might be for you! Circles of Support and Accountability is a community level reintegration program for people who have been incarcerated. By volunteering within the program, you’ll be paired with other volunteers, staff, and core members (what we call those who have offended previously) to form a circle of support and accountability. CoSA creates community where there is none. Walking with our core members, volunteers will be mentors and listening ears; offering ideas and experience on creating a social network while also problem solving weekly issues. By creating community, you are also creating safety. Volunteering can be done in-person or online. We are not limited to Calgary; we work primarily in Calgary and Edmonton, but extend our reach south to Lethbridge, East to Drumheller, and north of Edmonton. Contact Program Coordinator Ken Grahlman for more details and with interest. Our training is done during application. We ask for a minimum of one year commitment.
