Opportunity Description:

Memory care programs are essential for the engagement and wellbeing of individuals with dementia, and play a key role in providing respite opportunities for family caregivers of individuals with dementia. JFSC proudly offers in-home memory care programming with the help of our wonderful Memory Care Volunteers. Do you have a knack for art, puzzles, music, or physical games? Or do you simply love spending quality time with others? Memory Care Volunteers provide in-home one-on-one companionship and leisure activity support designed to engage individuals living with memory loss or a diagnosis of a dementia, such as Alzheimer’s Disease, while also providing the opportunity for caregiver respite. We require volunteers in all areas of the city for various shifts, however, our largest need is in the SW quadrant: Area of the City: SW Days of the week: Wednesdays and Thursdays Time of day: Afternoons (i.e. 1:00-4:00pm) Commitment: Up to 3-hours every other week Please join us in delivering this essential support to individuals with dementia and their caregivers!
