Plastic-Free YYC is a nonprofit focused on inspiring individuals, collaborating with businesses, and encouraging governing bodies to evoke change and eliminate waste. Our team is made up of passionate waste-fighting warriors who bring their professional expertise across various areas of the business. All of the roles are created, not only to help promote plastic-free solutions but to provide first-hand, career-enhancing experience. Each core team member has the opportunity to shine, with the autonomy to make decisions and truly make a difference in their community. We are currently looking to fill the following volunteer positions ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————– Executive Director (minimum 1 year commitment, up to 30 hours a month) Are you passionate about the environment? Are you experienced in leading a team and delivering quality experiences for the Plastic Free Volunteer team? We are looking for someone to fill the volunteer position of Executive Director! The role requires delivering quality leadership to a team to provide workshops, content and community building to the City of Calgary. ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————- Board Members (4 positions available. Minimum 1 year commitment, up to 5 hours a month): Join our board of directors to support the strategic direction of the organization. Bring your passion for a sustainable community, your dedication to creating change, and your ability to lead to our board. The role requires attendance at quarterly meetings, some board administration tasks, and an engaged representation of Plastic-Free YYC within our community.
