Opportunity Description
The Calgary Wheelchair Rugby Association is looking for volunteers to support our weekly practices, and we’d love to have you join our team! Wheelchair rugby is a co-ed sport that is fast, physical, and exciting — and our athletes can’t get on court without the help of dedicated volunteers. As a volunteer, you may help with: • Assisting athletes with transferring into and out of rugby chairs • Setting up and maintaining equipment • Supporting practice setup, cleanup and you might even get to play! • Ensuring a safe, fun, and inclusive environment Why volunteer? • Be part of an amazing adaptive sport community • Gain hands-on experience in para-sport • Earn volunteer hours (perfect for students) • Have fun while making a real difference Details: • Practices held in NW Calgary – location to be provided upon signing up • Weekly practices – every Wednesday, 6:40pm – 9:30pm • No experience needed — we’ll provide orientation and training If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, please reply to this email or contact us at infernowheelchairrugby@gmail.com Thank you for considering supporting wheelchair rugby in Calgary — we can’t do it without you!
