The Burgess Shale Geoscience Foundation was established in 1993. We are a not-for-profit, charitable organization with a mandate to educate the public in the geosciences. We present Earth Science education programs to the general public, students, professionals, and scientists. Partnerships with organizations locally, nationally, and internationally have helped us to develop our content.
Dr. J. K. Mulloy School is located in the northwest community of Huntington Hills, which is situated at the base of Nose Hill between the communities of Beddington Heights and Thorncliffe/Greenview. Our school offers the Traditional Learning Centre Program. We offer kindergarten classes as well. Students coming to our school for are a culturally diverse group of learners who contribute to a vibrant, challenging and support environment for teaching and learning.

Our activities encompass a diverse array of subjects within Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. These immersive activities are designed to meet educational standards while fostering engagement and hands-on learning.
Goal: To ignite curiosity among the youth, help them build innovation skills, leadership skills and critical thinking skills.
Mission: To provide accessible STEAM education & activities to young people across Calgary and Edmonton; to encourage innovative, scientific imagination; and to foster an interest in STEAM among young people.

The Western Canada Peer Training Society (WCPTS) is dedicated to fostering peer support communities that inspire hope, enhance resilience, and promote well-being. Through specialized training and mentorship, WCPTS equips individuals with lived experience to support others, creating inclusive and supportive environments. The organization also offers practicum placements, mentorship, and monthly community practice sessions, providing ongoing growth opportunities for peer supporters.
The Calgary Jewish Academy (CJA) is a central part of Calgary’s Jewish community. It offers an exceptional foundation in both academic excellence and Jewish identity. Guided by its purpose to help students grow into capable, caring citizens, CJA blends rigorous academics with deep-rooted values such as courage, justice, gratitude, respect, community, and loving kindness. Established in 1987 through the merger of the city’s earliest Jewish schools, dating back to 1912, the CJA continues a proud century-long tradition of Jewish education and leadership. Students experience a vibrant school life enriched by athletics, creative exploration, and meaningful engagement with Jewish traditions. Daily routines, such as singing Hatikvah and celebrating Kabbalat Shabbat, nurture a shared sense of belonging. YRES is a Charitable Not-for-Profit Organization that uses the help of community partners in order to carry out a variety of ever-expanding Educational Services. Our volunteers come from diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnicities. YRES has many opportunities for volunteers as we are always expanding our programs. Emma House is a non-profit in Calgary that provides programmed housing to pregnant women and youth who are experiencing homelessness. In 2018 alone, there were close to 3000 Calgarians experiencing homelessness. Emma House is proud to be 1 of 3 organizations in Calgary that work primarily with homeless pregnant women and youth.
At Emma House, we provide our residents with a safe family-like environment, 24/7 trauma-informed care, life skills training, nutritional food, all basic necessities for our moms and babies, as well as comprehensive wrap around services. Over the years, Emma House has helped over 170 women and their babies move out of vulnerability and into healthy and sustainable lives in community.

Calgary Heritage Housing (CHH) has been a steward of local Alberta seniors housing assets for nearly four decades. Our focus is on the seniors self-contained, independent living demographic. We manage nine government-owned, rent-subsidized apartment buildings and townhomes within Calgary. Our tenants value their independence. We know they also value quality, affordability, and a sense of personal safety and security. Our focus is on providing a secure and comfortable living environment.
L’Arche Calgary is a community, made up of five Group Homes in Calgary, a Supported Independent Living Program (SILP), and a Tamarack Day Program. L’Arche Calgary supports adults with intellectual disabilities. It is a place where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life in a community designed to bring out the best in everyone, physically, mentally, and spiritually. We celebrate the unique value of every person and recognize our need for one another. We strive to make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities, by revealing them through mutually transforming relationships. We foster an environment in our community that responds to the changing needs of our members while being faithful to the core values of our founding story. In L'Arche, the beauty of a mutual relationship is exemplified every single day. We share our spirituality, pray with and for one another, welcome guests and neighbors, host family and friends, prepare and eat meals together, work together on daily chores, celebrate birthdays, holidays, and other milestones, and we even plan outings and go on vacations together. Life in L’Arche is lived and experienced together!

In addition to affordable, safe and secure housing, we help tenants in obtaining community-based support services, so they are able to sustain a healthy and functionally independent lifestyle. Our Life Enrichment Team also facilitates opportunities for tenant engagement and encouraging active aging through pop-events, fitness classes, workshops and on-site access to services like dental and foot care.
