I Belong Bags Foundation Logo

I Belong Bags Foundation supports children and youth in crisis, who are displaced without any belongings of their own. We provide them with a backpack filled with essential and comfort items like pajamas, toothbrush, stuffed animal, soft blanket, coloring & reading books and much more. The youth we serve include those entering foster care, transitioning from group homes, arriving in our city as newcomers, escaping violence, or being rescued from homelessness or trafficking situations. A backpack provides comfort, dignity and a sense of belonging and safety in traumatic situations.

We are dedicated to breaking the cycle of negative inner narratives and empowering these youth to thrive, reminding them they belong and their community cares.  These young individuals are more than just a cause; they represent the very future of our community. In the chaos of the world today, it is all too easy for them to be forgotten and unseen. They are humans who deserve to be recognized, heard, valued, and supported.

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one, the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap, the being a force of nature instead of a feverish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
