Visiting Artist: Roselina Hung

Roselina Hung will talk about her work as part of the Visiting Artist and Scholar Series of the Department of Art. All are welcome. Bio The continued interest of my work has been the use of narrative in contemporary culture, as a means of understanding ourselves and the events in our lives. Borrowing from personal experiences and collective histories, my drawings and paintings are collage-like in theme and execution. I use different materials and techniques to both clashing and complimentary effects, mixing flat patterns with figures and landscapes. The collage element of my work is conceptually similar to my collection of disparate visual references from multiple sources, from art history to pop culture.
