Speakers Andrew Heintzman: founder & president, Investeco (Canada’s first environmental investment company – currently manages more than $41 million investing in renewable energy, clean tech & sustainable food); former Chair, Premier’s Climate Change Advisory Panel for the Province of Ontario – 2008 to 2012; member, Ontario’s Clean Energy Task Force; author of book The New Entrepreneurs: Building a Green Economy for the Future; co-editor of 3 books: Fueling the Future: How the Battle over Energy is Changing Everything; Feeding the Future: from Fat to Famine; & Food and Fuel: Solutions for the Future, all published by House of Anansi Press. Dr. Michelle Adams: associate professor, Department of International Development Studies, Dalhousie University, Halifax; co-authored Nova Scotia Renewable Energy Strategy report, which provided foundation for the Renewable Electricity Plan announced in April, 2010 by Nova Scotia government; director of Dalhousie’s Eco-Efficiency Centre – internationally recognized research & education organization supporting sustainable business practice & improved environmental performance; professional engineer & former naval officer.
