Dr. Steven Engler, Professor of Religious Studies, Mount Royal University, Calgary, will speak on “Multiple Religious Adherence & Boundary Crossing in Brazil,” held at at Hope Lutheran Church, 3527 Boulton Rd NW, Calgary. All are welcome, and attendance is free of charge.

Dr. Steven Engler has a Ph.D. in Religion from Concordia University, Montréal (1999) and an M.A. in Philosophy from University of Toronto (1989). He has taught Religious Studies at Mount Royal University in Calgary since 1999. Dr. Engler has published widely on religions in Brazil and theories of religion. He is co-editor with Michael Stausberg of the journal Religion, as well as The Routledge Handbook of Research Methods in the Study of Religion (2011)
