Next Generation Ecology and Evolution Symposium

This symposium is in celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the journal Methods in Ecology and Evolution and will feature seminars in how genomics provides avenues for insight along three main branches in ecology and evolution: 1) genomics and trait evolution; 2) genomics and evolutionary Ecology; and 3) genomics and biodiversity science. The topics throughout the symposium are intended to be diverse in study system and will feature a series of new advances that apply to the fields of ecology and evolution. We have assembled experts in the field of genomics from diverse backgrounds (molecular ecology, evolution of parasitism, spatial bioinformatics, metagenomics) to deliver instructional seminars on the advances genomics offers in terms of potential methods and new directions.
