Learn more about the clashes of the heroes, goddesses and the immortals as they were used as a system of identifying stars within the 48 constellations of classical Greece. In the sky – No moon in the sky, so perfect viewing conditions for observing Jupiter and Orion. Entrance fee: $20 per car OR $10 per person, (all proceeds go towards Rothney Astrophysical Observatory educational programs) The RAO is located on hwy 22, east side of the hwy, 2.4 km south of the hwy22 and hwy 22X interchange. At every open house we feature a ‘what’s up’ in the sky’ presentation and our telescopes operating with astronomers ready to answer your questions. Bring your flashlight and dress for the weather.
