Interested in a career in Landscape Architecture? An information session on the upcoming Master of Landscape Architecture program will be held Friday, March 6, from 12-1pm in PF3160. Come learn more and get your questions answered about the program curriculum, admissions requirements, and more. The application deadline for September 2015 is March 15. About the Program The University of Calgary recently received approval to launch the Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) in the Faculty of Environmental Design (EVDS). This is the first graduate program in landscape architecture in Canada to be launched since 1980, and is situated in the geographically and culturally dynamic context of Alberta and Western Canada. Our program is strategically positioned to engage with the critical sociocultural and ecological challenges of place-making, climate change and resilience. Our MLA is intended as a program for the 21st century – to be leaders and to train leaders in becoming catalysts for positive local and global change. The MLA is a three-year course-based program consisting of a foundation year plus two years at the Master’s level, and we will be seeking accreditation through the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA). As a professional degree program, curriculum design and methods of delivery reflect the CSLA accreditation requirements. Applications for the Fall 2015 class of the MLA program will be accepted until March 15, 2015.

Professional Faculties building – Room 3160

We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow-men; and along those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects.
