Want to learn more about health and wellness, biomechanics, injury prevention, osteoarthritis and exercise physiology? Start the year off with a bit of informative fun by attending Kinesiology’s Science in Seconds event. This event will feature research poster presentations, a video competition and finally an information section where undergraduate students can learn about research funding opportunities in the Faculty of Kinesiology and talk to the experts about how they can get involved with research. Kinesiology Science in Seconds is an event hosted by the Kinesiology Graduate Student Association where graduate and undergraduate students present their research with 3 minute poster presentations and lab groups compete for prizes through submitting a 1-minute fun and entertaining video about their research. This year’s theme, “Superhero’s: How research makes people super” is sure to inspire creative and hilarious videos that allow you to see research presented in a way you probably have not seen in before. Best of all, as an audience member you get to help choose the People’s Choice Best Video winner. Come out for a fun filled evening of research, food and door prizes Wednesday Jan 21, 2015 from 4-7 on the main floor of the Human Performance Laboratory in Kinesiology Block B.
