Due North: Next Generation Arctic Research and Leadership Conference is hosting several pre-conference workshops on Wednesday, November 4th and Thursday, November 5th. Most workshops will take place in the Taylor Family Digital Library (TFDL) room 403/405. Click here for more information on all the workshops For a small fee ($25/workshop), we invite all interested parties to take part in these workshops. Rural Policy Learning Commons Panel Discussion The Rural Policy Learning Commons (RPLC) builds on decades of rural research in Canada and Internationally by adding research, exchanges, institutes, policy fora, distance learning activities, publications, a digital information hub, and social media (e.g. webinars, blogs) to generate new policy insights and strengthen comparative researchcollaboration among faculty, students, practitioners, and policy-makers. This workshop will offer guidance for new rural researchers and insights for policy makers through experiences and stories from a panel of individuals involved with the RPLC. Participants will be introduced to the RPLC and receive an overview of rural research – what is being done now and how to get involved. Opportunities for engagement with researchers will be encourage through audience participation and discussion.
