“Beyond P-Hacking” – This talk will pursue issues first raised in an influential paper entitled False-positive psychology: Undisclosed flexibility in data collection and analysis allows presenting anything as significant published in 2011 and co-authored by Leif Nielson and Uri Simonsohn. The problematic, but common, researcher practices described in the paper designed to achieve “significant” p < .05 findings have come to be known as p-hacking and will be the focus of this talk.
