Europe 1816-22. In the wake of the French Revolution, four famous Britons—the writers Lord Byron, Percy and Mary Shelley and Mary’s stepsister Claire Clairmont—renounce their homeland to seek liberty, truth and love in exile. But their public quest for social progress masks private torment and pain, ending in Shelley’s tragic death by drowning. Event Link: http://scpa.ucalgary.ca/events/bloody-poetry
