The Lorna MacLachlan Quintet is composed of five innovative players from Calgary. The music, written and arranged by Lorna, is brought to life by Richard Harding (saxophones), Keith Smith (guitar), Stefano Valdo (bass) and Robin Tufts (drums), with Lorna on piano and vocals. While this music may best be described as belonging to the genre of jazz, it is heavily influenced by the classical and folk genres.
