Over the course of close to two years of excavations spread between four sites in Hardisty, Alberta, thousands of artifacts were recovered and dozens of features were identified. This presentation will summarize some of our findings. We will look more in depth at three features: a rather oversized, deep post-hole, a several meter long bone-filled pit and an atypical living surface. We were also surprised to discover, two meters below surface, nestled in the watertable, a 7 – 9,000 year old occupation which will be explored as well. Free event, sponsored by the Archaeological Society of Alberta – Calgary Centre. See arkycalgary.com for more info
