Employee version: July 30th, 8:30am – 12:00pm, MLT444 The SU Wellness Centre has been working with the Mental Health Commission of Canada to deliver The Working Mind Program at the University of Calgary. The Working Mind, geared towards a general workplace audience, aims to increase awareness of mental health, reduce the stigma of mental illnesses, and offer resources to maintain positive mental health and increase resiliency. The program is designed to support employees in creating a supportive environment, strengthen the organizational culture, and contribute to a healthy workplace. By participating in this course, you will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and learn about effective management tools to support employees along the mental health continuum. You will learn about common signs of mental illness, the effects of mental illness in the workplace, stigma, the mental health continuum model, how to support colleagues, as well as tools and skills to maintain your own mental health and wellbeing.
