Please join the Language Research Centre on Thursday, February 6th, 2014 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Commonwealth Pub (733 10th Ave. SW, Calgary) for a lively discussion on inclusive language education. We will be joined by the following researchers: Jessica de Villiers (Department of English, University of British Columbia), an expert on Autism Spectrum Disorder. Andrea MacLeod (School of Speech Therapy and Audiology, Université de Montréal), who investigates typical and disordered speech and language development among monolingual and bilingual children. E. Anne Hughson (Faculty of Medicine, University of Calgary), an expert on inclusive education. We will also be joined by Language Learning Leaders from the Calgary Board of Education, who will discuss the Board’s policies on inclusive language education and share insights into classroom realities.
