The University of Calgary community and general public are invited to the 6th annual Earth Day Campus Clean-up and Barbecue hosted by Facilities. Come out and help make the University of Calgary campus a better place to learn, work, live and play with a little spring cleaning! The clean-up and barbecue will be held on Friday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the TFDL Quad (Rainout date is May 1). The day will begin with an orientation, where bags and gloves will be provided. After the clean-up, participants will be rewarded for their hard work with barbecue food and beverages. All volunteers will be entered into a door prize draw for a backyard composter. Those who preregister will receive an additional ballot for the draw! Eco-prizes will also be awarded for most garbage collected, most recyclables collected and more. To preregister for this event, email sustain@ucalgary.ca
