An award-winning Canadian architect and urban designer, Neeraj Bhatia is the speaker of the fourth instalment of the 2016-2017 Design Matters Lecture Series. Neeraj’s lecture will examine architecture’s capacity to empower the territory, including the physical environment and the people it hosts. Neeraj is an assistant professor at the California College of the Arts, where he also co-directs the urbanism research lab, The Urban Works Agency. He is also the founder of The Open Workshop, a design-research office examining the negotiation between architecture and its territorial environment.
