Dr Helen Kara has been an independent researcher since 1999. She is the author of several articles and two books on research methods, most recently ‘Creative Research Methods in the Social Sciences: A Practical Guide’ (2015). Helen will introduce the topic of creative research methods, provide examples, and discuss the challenges and opportunities these methods present. An interactive exercise will enable attendees to practice using creative methods collaboratively in research design and presentation.
