Food Fosters (Food Fosters Showcase & Awards Event)

• Appropriate for youth (i.e., less than 18)
• Appropriate for volunteers aged between 18 and 55

The Food Fosters Showcase and Awards is a dinner event on Thursday March 7, celebrating the winners of the 2024 Food Fosters Youth Engagement Challenge. Prizes will be awarded to the challenge participants who engaged the most in completing food-based activities. We are looking for volunteers to help with multiple parts of the event including: Community centre/ event venue setup and decoration (4:00 pm-5:30 pm) Registration table/ guest check in (5:30-6:00 pm) Event takedown (7:45-9:00 pm) We may also require some volunteer assistance on Wednesday March 6, for preparation of supplies for the event evening. Volunteers will get to enjoy the event (including dinner and desserts) during times they aren’t assigned to tasks, and will receive a volunteer recognition letter if requested.
