Calgary Folk Club (Sponsorship & Fundraising Director)

Sponsorship and Fundraising Director The Sponsorship and Fundraising Director is responsible for supporting the financial viability of the Club and allowing us to continue to deliver on our mandate to provide live music at an affordable ticket price. Previous experience with fundraising and sponsorship would be an asset, as are willingness to approach and negotiate terms with private donors, businesses and organizations as well as investigating and delivering potential programs for regular gifting, bequeathals, and innovative ideas for ensuring the Calgary Folk Club continues to bounce back from the pandemic. This role will also work with the Treasurer on Casino and Grant Applications. At our recent Strategic Planning Session, we identified the need to expand our Board to 11 members. We meet one evening per month for 1.5 hours online. Each position has additional hours required to complete tasks specific to that role. There are no term limits to Calgary Folk Club Board Membership, although we would appreciate a minimum of a 2-year commitment to establish continuity with our initiatives.
