Opportunity Description:

Volunteers will provide administrative support for staff at multiple reception desks. This position helps immigrant women gain the skills, information, and experience needed to enter the Canadian workplace. SUMMARY OF POSITION The Administrative Support volunteer will provide support to reception on multiple floors at CIWA. Volunteers are required to provide a full day of support once or twice a week. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide high quality front line service to our clients Greet visitors and clients in a professional and timely manner Direct clients/visitors as necessary Inform staff about the arrival of appointments Assist receptionist with administration duties Work side by side with reception staff Provide reception coverage for breaks, meetings, etc. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE Ensure that professional approach is aligned with CIWA values Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm Maintain confidentiality at all times Excellent customer service skills Self-motivated, energetic, and professional Team player and good time-management skills QUALIFICATIONS Strong communication skills Friendly, outgoing, and takes initiative English level minimum benchmark 7 Excellent customer service skills Knowledge of MS office skills an asset A secondary language is an asset
