Marketing Director: The Marketing Director is responsible for getting the word out and letting people know why they need to be in the audience – either live or virtually – of the Calgary Folk Club. Previous experience with Social Media platforms, excellent writing skills, and organizational skills required. Responsible for oversight and delivery of newsletters, table notices, Social Media postings, liaison with CKUA and CJSW, and other profile-raising and ticket-selling activities. A portion of the content creation work can be performed by additional volunteers or a paid contractor. Strategic Goals Addressed: To bring attendance back to pre-pandemic levels To increase on-line attendance, expand on-line Club Membership Approx. time commitment per month month in addition to Board Meeting: 10 hours (plus attendance at Club nights every two weeks) Are you committed to bringing terrific folk music to a Calgary audience? At our recent Strategic Planning Session, we identified the need to expand our Board to 11 members. We meet one evening per month for 1.5 hours online. Each position has additional hours required to complete tasks specific to that role. There are no term limits to Calgary Folk Club Board Membership, although we would appreciate a minimum of a 2-year commitment to establish continuity with our initiatives.
