Opportunity Description:

GREAT NEWS – JA SOUTHERN ALBERTA IS “GOING BACK TO SCHOOL”!!   In January, 2022 we will be bringing volunteers back into classrooms in southern Alberta. We will also continue to offer virtual volunteer opportunities for volunteers, educators and students who prefer that option. Volunteers will join students between grades 4-9 in the classroom during school hours (~8am-12pm) to deliver JA programs on content ranging from starting their own businesses, budgeting for post-secondary, and embracing diverse teams. All training and volunteer opportunities will be done virtually.   The volunteer time commitment is as follows: 1.5 hours of program training ~4 hours in classroom   At JA, the safety of our students, teaching staff, and volunteers is a priority. In Calgary/Rockyview, our school boards require all in-person volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of immunization will be demonstrated to the school on the day of delivery, via the Government of Alberta’s QR code (available via https://covidrecords.alberta.ca), along with your ID. JA Southern Alberta will not be collecting or retaining any vaccination status information at this time. Masks may be required, depending on the school.   Please see below for a list of volunteer opportunities in January and February:   Wednesday, Jan 12th @ Monsignor J.J.
